2nd Day: A loop through the famous wine villages, approx. 45 or 60 km

Today you will have the choice between two variants, depending on the number of kilometers you wish to cover. You will leave Colmar heading north, on a route that will unveil charming wine villages that make the fame of the Alsatian great wines: Ribeauvillé, Hunawihr, Riquewihr, Kientzheim. The longer variant offers you to discover Turckheim and Eguisheim, classified among the Most Beautiful Villages of France.

3rd Day: Colmar – Munster – Colmar, approx. 45 km

Today you take the direction of Munster by Turckheim and Zimmerbach. The green valley of Munster is famous for its cheese of the same name, one of the many culinary emblems of the region. Enjoy it with caraway seeds and a glass of Pinot Gris or Gewurtztraminer. A pure delight! You will return to Colmar by the bicycle path that winds through the valley.

4th Day: Breisach am Rhein, approx. 70 km

This stage is dedicated to the discovery of the villages of the Rhine valley. You will reach Neuf-Brisach and plunge into the History of the 17th and 18th century by visiting, this Vauban stronghold listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. You will then cross the Rhine to reach Breisach am Rhein in Germany. You will be able to admire its cathedral, its city center and its picturesque streets. The Rhine Canal cycle path will then take you back to the French side, to Marckolsheim, where you can visit a fortified structure of the Maginot Line. Return to Colmar along the canal’s bike path.

5th Day: Colmar – Guebwiller – Mulhouse, approx. 50 or 80 km + return by train (or departure after breakfast)

From Colmar, you will ride along the south of the Alsace Wine Route to Guebwiller. From there, you caneither go to Bollwiller and take a train to Mulhouse, or continue riding to Ungersheim to visit the Ecomusée d’Alsace, an open-air museum organized like an early 20th century Alsatian village. From there, the bicycle path will lead you directly to Mulhouse, which dynamically combines tradition and modernity. This industrial and technical city awaits you with its famous automobile museum. Return by train to Colmar.
