A truly surprising holiday! The region between the Belgian coast and the stunning city of Bruges is a very special one, yet waiting to be discovered by both kids and adults. This cycling trip is one for the whole family, sea and sand, cultural heritage, shopping in Bruges, picturesque villages and cycling paths through a splendid countryside.

1st Day: Brussels

Individual arrival. Sometimes, it really looks like time has stood still for some centuries: you can admire old houses, narrow streets, beautiful medieval buildings, … But there are also nice restaurants, modern boutiques and a delicious gastronomy. There is truly loads to do in Bruges. As a family holiday, we will focus on the kids‘ favourites, on what they would really want to see. A boat trip on the ‘Reien’ is always a nice experience. These boat trips usually last half an hour. For a really wonderful time, you can go to the Boudewijn Seapark. The kids will have a wonderful time in the chocolate museum ‘Choco-Story’! But, certainly, they will also like the historical centre of Bruges, with the famous market place and the belfry. Trips by carriage through the historic town centre are also possible. Or how about Zeebrugge? In Zeebrugge, you can visit Seafront or see the ships from the port of Zeebrugge

2nd Day: Bruges – De Haan – Ostend, approx. 40 km

On the way to Ostend, you can discover De Haan, a village which has beautifully preserved the BelleEpoque‘ style (19th century). After an unforgettable tour, we arrive in Ostend, also known as the ‘queen of all coastal towns’. The stay in Ostend will be a paradise for the children! The hotel is situated close to the beach and there is a lot to discover: children’s farm ‘De Lange Schuur’, the playground ‘Airport Bowl’, …You will stay in a child friendly hotel in Ostend, as there is a playground, a bouncing castle,…

3rd Day: Circular ride to Oudenburg, approx. 30 km

This tour will bring us to the nice and flat countryside behind the Belgian coast, also named ‘polder landscape’. Oudenburg is a typical Flemish village, built on the foundations of an ancient roman city.

4th Day: Circular ride to Nieuwpoort, approx. 44 km

Nieuwpoort is just like Ostend and Blankenberge one of the favourite seaside resorts in Belgium. This small town is situated along the river mouth of the ‘Yser’, a river that played an important strategic role during the First World War. The children will certainly enjoy the harbour and the nature reserve ‘Ysermonde’. You can also have a break on the wide and lovely beach.

5th Day: Ostend – Bruges, approx. 36 km

We cycle back to Bruges and will pass cosy villages such as Bredene. Enjoy with the children the typical Belgian landschape. We will also pass the silent canal Ostend – Bruges and the popular ‘Spuikom’ inOstend.

6th Day: Cycling tour to Blankenberge and the North Sea, approx. 31 km

There is nothing nicer for the kids than spending a day by the sea! Blankenberge is a busy town on the Belgian coast, and one of the favourite places of many tourists. What kids will really like is the Sea Life Marine Park, where they can discover the fascinating wildlife of the rivers and the oceans (sharks, piranhas,…)!

7th Day: Bruges

For children from 12 years and adults we cannot give a reduction for the 3rd person in a room. For the comfort of the clients, we can only book a double room and a single room at the hotel in Bruges, but there’s no single room supplement. The rooms will be connecting rooms.
