2nd Day: Freiburg – Colmar/Eguisheim (approx. 60 km)

Breisach is clearly visible from afar. The Stephansmünster (cathedral) towers high above the Rhine plain and the historic city centre is right behind the cathedral. The route continues to Colmar, a wonderful old town in the heart of Alsace. Eguisheim is also known as the “cradle of the Alsatian wine-growing region”.

3rd Day: Colmar/Eguisheim – Day off or Alsatian wine route – Colmar/Eguisheim (approx. 50 km)

Stroll through the narrow alleys of the beautiful old town of Colmar and the medieval town of Eguisheim or experience the diversity of the Alsace Wine Route. In the wine villages of Ribeauvillè, Hunawihr, Riquewihr and Kaysersberg, time seems to have stood still since the Middle Ages.

4th Day: Colmar/Eguisheim – Mulhouse (approx. 60 km)

Your route leads you along the French Wine Route via Rouffach, a town with a romantic character and Mediterranean climate, to Ungersheim. Visit the largest open-air museum in France before reaching Mulhouse.

5th Day: Mulhouse – Day off or round trip through dreamy wine villages – Mulhouse (approx. 60 km)

Discover the world’s largest automobile museum and be captivated by the impressive industrial past of the city. Alternatively, you can cycle through small villages with Alsatian half-timbered houses and medieval town centres, and just let your mind wander.

6th Day: Mulhouse – Freiburg (approx. 60 km)

You cycle via the Rhine valley and pass the border to Germany. In Neuenburg, you leave the Rhine and cycle through the Markgräfler country. In Bad Krozingen, you will be able to relax in the thermal spa, before your cycling tour leads you back to Freiburg.
