1st Day: Tübingen

Individual arrival in the Swabian university town of Tübingen. Let yourself be enchanted by the picturesque old town and the steep, winding alleys.

2nd Day: Tübingen – Esslingen (approx. 55 km)

You cycle down the Neckar through the charming landscape. Numerous bathing lakes invite you to refresh yourself before you come to the picturesque town of Nürtingen. You reach Esslingen via Plochingen, where you should marvel at the Regenturm tower by Friedensreich Hundertwasser.

3rd Day: Esslingen – Marbach/Freiberg (approx. 40-45 km)

Today your cycling tour leads you to the state capital of Baden-Württemberg, to Stuttgart. Passing the baroque town of Ludwigsburg you will reach Marbach, the birthplace of the famous poet Friedrich Schiller. A visit to the house where he was born gives you an impression of life back then.

4th Day: Marbach/Freiberg – Heilbronn (approx. 40-45 km)

You cycle across meadows and fields to Besigheim and then ride near the shore to the wine village of Lauffen. Through vineyards you get to the Käthchenstadt Heilbronn. Use the time for a stroll through the old town and visit the numerous monuments such as the Gothic Kilian Church, the Käthchenhaus or the town hall, which is one of the most beautiful in Germany.

5th Day: Heilbronn – Region Eberbach (approx. 35-55 km)

You follow the Burgenstraße (castle road) and come to Neckarsulm with the German Two-Wheel Museum. Passing lush vineyards and wooded mountain ridges, you pass the Hornberg castle and the Zwingenberg castle and reach the romantic town of Mosbach with its many half-timbered houses or the old Staufer town of Eberbach.

6th Day: Region Eberbach – Heidelberg (approx. 35-55 km)

Between Eberbach and Heidelberg, the Neckar now winds its way through the mountain ranges of the Odenwald (forest). You reach Hirschhorn, which is towered over by its knight’s castle. You continue to cycle to the four-castle town of Neckarsteinach. In Neckargemünd you cross the river again and arrive in the university town of Heidelberg.
