Oder-Neisse Cycle Path
Through Saxony and Brandenburg
This cycling tour from Zittau to Frankfurt/Oder sees you pedal the southern part of Germany’s easternmost cycle path, cycling through Saxony and Brandenburg. A green and pristine landscape and historically interesting sites characterize your bike tour along the two border rivers Oder and Neisse.

1st Day: Individual arrival in Zittau
Stroll through the city in the three-country corner or use this day for an excursion to Liberec in the Czech Republic.
2nd Day: Zittau – Görlitz (approx. 43 km)
Via Ostritz you cycle to the famous monastery of St. Marienthal. Continue to Görlitz with its historic old town, which was almost completely spared destruction during the Second World War.
3rd Day: Görlitz – Bad Muskau (approx. 68 km)
On the first day of your tour you will pass through typical moorland villages and the attractive town of Rothenburg. Upon reaching the UNESCO World Heritage Site at Bad Muskau, you have the opportunity to explore Fürst-Pückler-Park with its orangerie, castle and gardens on both sides of the Neiße.
4th Day: Bad Muskau – Guben (approx. 68 km)
The Moorland Farming Museum in Köbeln on the Brandenburg border invites you to delve into the former life of local moorland farmers and stroll through delightful gardens bursting with farmer’s flowers and herbs. The next stop on your tour is the town of Forst, which boasts a 17-hectare rose garden featuring 800 different varieties of roses and tens of thousands of rose bushes. Guben thenawaits you with a number of gems in the form of the neo-Gothic Convent Church,the Church of the Good Shepherd and the ruins of the Town Church.
5th Day: Guben – Frankfurt/Oder (approx.65 km)
Shortly after leaving Guben, you will pedal past the confluence of the Neiße and the Oder. The highlight of the day is Neuzelle Abbey, which includes the baroque Abbey Church of St Mary. You journey briefly takes a modern twist as you pass through Eisenhüttenstadt – the first planned town to be completed in the former GDR, now filled with parks and green spaces – before you end the day in the old university town of Frankfurt/Oder.
6th Day: Individual departure from Frankfurt/Oder or transfer service to Görlitz
Individual departure, transfer back to Görlitz or extension.
