Family on the Bicycle
The family tour is a shared experience for the young and the youngest. Benefit from short bike rides, child-friendly accommodations and plenty of time for rests inbetween. Between Linz and Vienna there is a lot to discover for young and old.

1st Day: Linz
Individual arrival in Linz, travel documents in the hotel.

2nd Day: Linz – Wallsee/surrounding, approx. 40 km
After breakfast, pick up your bikes in the bike center and start to cycle in the direction of Mitterkirchen. The Celtic Villages, the first highlight, is already waiting for you. An exhibition of houses, where the people’s life is shown, who lived approx. 2700 years ago during the Hallstatt period. A lovely farmhouse is waiting for today’s overnight!

3rd Day: Wallsee/surrounding – Marbach/surrounding, approx. 40 km
Cycle to Grein, the picturesque baroque town and visit Austria’s oldest town theatre. Cool down with delicious ice cream – the selection of ice-cream flavor at Schörgi’s ice-parlor is great. Persenbeug is your final destination for today. Tip: Well-worth visiting is the water-sport paradise “Ardagger” by fair weather.

4th Day: Marbach/surrounding – Wachau Valley, approx. 50 km
Already after a few kilometers through the world famous Wachau Valley, you cycle via Pöchlarn to Persenbeug. The impressive Benedictine Monastery Melk can be seen from afar , before continuing through vineyards to Spitz, situated on the foot of Mt.1000-Eimer.

5th Day: Day at leisure in the Wachau Valley
Spend an enjoyable and free day in the lovely hotel garden, while your children have fun on the playground. We recommend visiting one of the local wine-cellars and watching the wine-growers at work, or hop into the Danube for some swimming action.

6th Day: Wachau Valley – Tulln, approx. 20 km by ship, approx. 40 km by bike
Gently vineyard laden hills are along the left and right river side and during a trip on a Danube ship you are passing by well-known villages, such as Weißenkirchen und Dürnstein, before arriving in Krems. High up, fortresses from former times can be imagined while you continue to Tulln.

7th Day: Tulln – Vienna, approx. 35 km
The Danube metropolis Vienna is nearby, where a great variety of sights await you. Do not miss visiting the fun park “Prater and enjoying a ride on the famous Giant Ferris Wheels.

8th Day: Vienna
Individual departure or extension. Return transfer to Linz by train (included)

If you rent a bike for your trip, you are liable for damage and theft. When booking our rental bike disclaimer, we will assume liability for you so that you bear no financial responsibility in the event of loss or damage to the rental bike (with proper use and security). There are exceptions to this disclaimer which are loss of keys, batteries and chargers of e-bikes, as well as damage due to intent or gross negligence.
